2012-2013 SPORTS SEASON

Note - Zone A1 Per Capita 8 Ball Tournament at Branch 594 has been cancelled!

We would like to welcome all the legion members of the Zone A-1 legions to a brand new season of sporting events.
Each event is posted under one of the named tabs. Here you will find all the information about each event.

Shuffleboard

  After a very close competition, Jim Blazek and Ward Haskings from Branch 12, became this year's champions.

                                   Jim and Ward along with the teams of:
                                   Ed Shuel/ Brian Eldridge          Branch 143
                                   Dave Crockett/ Rick Farley       Branch 12
                                   Jim Major/ Ron Turner             Branch 143
 Now progress to the District A tournament to be held on Saturday 25th February at  Branch 116 in Strathroy.

8-Ball Doubles Pool

                        Congratulations to Harry Bissonnette and Fern Roy from Branch 594 on their winning the 2011- 2012 Zone 8-ball doubles, held at Branch 261 on Saturday 15th October.

The final results was:

1st Place  Harry Bissonnette/  Fern Roy  Branch 594
2nd Place  Bill Storie/ Joe Lizzi               Branch 143
3rd Place  Randy Louwagie/ Mike Stratis Branch 261

These 3 teams now progress to the District A tournament to be held at Branch 243 Ridgetown on January 28th 2012.
